Fur-Ever Radiant Pet Sympathy Rose

Hardiness Zones 4-10
The USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map is the standard by which gardeners and growers can determine which plants are most likely to thrive at a location.
Care Information
General Care
Light: Full sun (6+ hours daily) Watering: Keep soil evenly moist, not soggy. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. Soil: Use well-draining potting mix, ideally a rose-specific soil or mix garden soil with perlite and compost. Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced rose fertilizer (10-10-10 or similar) every 2–4 weeks during active growth (spring through early fall). Pruning: Prune lightly throughout the season to shape and encourage blooms. Remove spent blooms (deadheading) to promote reblooming.
Planting Guidelines
Choose a Sunny Location: Needs 6+ hours of direct sun daily. Dig the Hole: Width: Twice the width of the root ball. Depth: Just deep enough to place the graft union 1 inch above ground level. Soil: Mix in compost or aged manure with native soil. Ensure good drainage—avoid clay-heavy or soggy soils. Place the Rose: Center the rose and backfill halfway, then water. Finish filling and water again thoroughly. Mulch: Add 2–3 inches of mulch around the base (not touching the stem) to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Winter Care
Before the winter months, apply a thicker layer of bark mulch that will act as a perspective layer. You can also cover your rose with a thin sheet overnight when temperatures drop. Or move to an unheated garage, shed, or cold frame where temps stay just above freezing.
Potting & Container
When to Repot: Every 1–2 years, preferably in early spring, before active growth begins. How to Repot: Choose a container 1–2 inches larger in diameter than the current one, with drainage holes. Loosen the root ball gently and trim any circling or rotted roots. Fill the new pot with fresh, well-draining soil. Position the topiary at the same depth it was growing before. Water thoroughly after repotting and place in bright indirect sunlight for a few days to reduce transplant shock.
