Birthday Mandevilla Topiary
Watering: Water every 4-5 days increase as needed. Sun: Full Sun - Pruning: You can prune it after growth breaks in early to mid-spring. You may also want to pinch your mandevilla. This method of pruning your mandevilla will create a bushier and fuller plant.
When planting your mandevilla, dig a hole wide enough and deep enough for the root ball. Best grown in rich, well-drained soil. Added organic matter is suggested. Place into the hole and gently break apart the sides of the root ball. Make sure the top of the root ball is leveled with the surrounding soil. Fill hole with soil and organic matter tapping firmly and watering thoroughly.
You can bring your mandevilla plant indoors for the winter once temperatures drop to 50 degrees F. When you bring your mandevilla flowers indoors, place your mandevilla in a place where it will get bright, indirect light. Water the plant when the soil is dry to the touch.
Potting & Container
Repot mandevilla into a larger container. Use well drained sandy, rich soil. Water it as needed when the soil is dry to the touch. Mandevillas will need some kind of support in order to grow as best they can. Be sure to provide a trellis or some other support for your mandevilla to grow up.
